TRX® AT PILATES NORTH!

The Navy Seals developed it, professional athletes embraced it, and now you can try it at Pilates North!

The TRX® Suspension Trainer® System is being hailed as the Best Total-Body tool by Men's Health and has been seen on the hit TV show," Biggest Loser". Its versatility, challenging workouts and limitless exercises can be used for evey level of fitness at any age.

Basically, the system is comprised of two nylon-webbing straps with foam handles that attach to a secure object. It uses your body weight and angles to create a challenging workout. By suspending all or part of your body and by changing the angles, one can easily increase or decrease the difficulty. See the TRX in action in this video.

Pilates and TRX have a lot in common. Both work on and depend on the body's core muscles. By engaging the body's core, you are sure to develop your balance, flexibility and focus - leading to improved sports performance and ease in everyday movement.

We are extremely excited to present our TRX and Core based classes, starting May 2009. Diana, a fully certified STOTT PILATES instructor, has completed her certification in the TRX Suspension Trainer System and has developed a core program integrating Pilates exercises and principles using the TRX. A TRX and Core class will accommodate only 6 people in order to maximize the benefits for our clients.
