Equipment Classes

Our equipment classes are registered and run for a period of 8 weeks. They are limited to four participants to ensure personalized instruction for maximum benefit. Previous Pilates experience is necessary before beginning work on the equipment.

Group Reformer:
Our most popular class! This class takes the basic principles and exercises to a new level. The reformer uses spring based resistance that develops muscles without bulk and provides immediate feedback on synchronized movements. For those new to the reformer it may look like a piece of equipment found in a medieval torture chamber, but the exercises and stretches feel too good to keep those thoughts for long.

Prerequisite: Proficient in basic and essential Pilates exercises (Level 1 Mat).

Group Chair:
The chair is the ultimate for the physically fit and those who are at an intermediate mat level. It provides a full body workout and with the split pedals challenges your core and stabilizing muscles to a new realm. Love it. Hate it. Either way, you’ll learn to isolate and rebalance muscles.

Prerequisite: Proficient in intermediate exercises (Level 2 Mat).

Circuit Class:
This class appeals to those of us who like a bit of everything. The Circuit class incorporates the reformer, tower and/or chair for 50 minutes of mentally and physically demanding work.

Prerequisite: Proficient in intermediate exercises (Level 2 Mat) and prior experience on the reformer.

Group Reformer - Athletic Conditioning:
This class incorporates a whole new repertoire of reformer exercises. It is for individuals who have experience on the reformer and are prepared for the next challenging level.

Prerequisite: Proficient in intermediate exercises (Level 2 Mat), prior experience on the reformer and/or an assessment by a certified instructor.

We have a variety of Pilates apparatus’ such as Bosus, balls, weighted balls, resistance bands, fitness circles and foam rollers. Our instructors incorporate any number of Pilates apparatus into a mat or equipment class, based on the level and experience of the participants.
